Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt:

The Lions Club’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is just around the corner! All children 12 and under are invited to join the fun on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park in downtown Washington City. Everyone will be a winner!

Lions Club Breakfast:

Join us for a delicious Lions Club breakfast on Saturday, April 26, during the Cotton Days festivities! Start your celebration with a hot, hearty breakfast from 7–10 a.m. at the pavilion at Veterans Park. Come eat, come celebrate, and come serve with the Lions Club!

NOW is the time to apply! If you live in Washington City and are a high school senior, continuing or prospective Utah Tech University student, you are eligible to apply for the Washington City Lions Club $1,000 scholarship for the 25-26 academic year at Utah Tech! Deadline is April 30th. Student must be a Washington City Resident and have a minimum 3.0 high school or college GPA. Applications are available at the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office in the Holland Building on the Utah Tech campus and online at scholarships.utahtech.edu/community-scholarships. To apply for the scholarship, the student must fill out an application, supply an unofficial transcript, and submit a 500-word essay on how the Lions Club mission of Community Service applies to them. Required items must be received by April 30, 2025, and can be submitted in person or mailed to: Utah Tech Scholarship Office, Holland Centennial Commons, 225 South University Ave., St. George, UT 84770.

Spring cleanup of Buena Vista Blvd. and Washington Parkway completed—thanks to community volunteers and Lions Club members! The majority of litter consisted of fast food wrappers. Is that a hint for us to take better care of our trash and, perhaps, eat healthier?
